It’s Tulip Season!

Today is Earth Day 2024 and what better way to celebrate than to explore the wonders of the tulip.

Tulips are interesting for a number of reasons. They’re springtime flowers that come in an unusually wide variety of colors and variations. Their blossoms are very study and clean, unlike a lot of flowers that have more frilly and light petal styles.

And their maturity cycle involves basically a slow motion explosion. Where a lot of flowers wilt, shrivel, and drop their petals, tulips spread their petals wide until they burst off. There is no wilting, no browning, no shriveling. Wild!

I’m so excited to share some tulip appreciation with you and I hope you enjoy this virtual tour of Tulip Town in Skagit County, Washington.

Cheers!
